Everyone things spring is the best time to sell a home so of course spring is when the inventory of homes on the market is the highest. You will have alot of competition if you sell your home during the spring so make sure its as perfect as you can make it since buyers have alot of choices for their new home. Summer tends to be slow actually because most folks are out of town on vacation and are more concerned with having fun as opposed to worrying about moving. And finally winter. Most think winter is not a good time to sell and typically take their homes off the market during this time. However this is NOT true, so don’t fall victim to this myth! For sellers winter is actually a great time to sell because you have less competition of homes to compete with. Most folks are taking their homes off the market so inventory levels are going down. This is the perfect time for your home to stick out in buyers minds! In addition the winter buyers tend to be more serious buyers because less face it, these buyers are not going to want to be running around in the cold looking for a home unless they truly have to. According to research, Thursday is the best day of the week to list your home for sale. By listing your home for sale on a Thursday, you can make it available immediately for weekend showings. Come Saturday – the busiest day for real estate – your home will have only been on sale for two days, which is great for attracting full-price offers. In general, the shorter amount of time your home remains on the market, the higher the offer you’ll receive.
